Vintage Religious Retablo of Santa Rita, Patron Saint of Heartbroken Women 27902

A vintage (1950s?) metal retablo of Santa Rita, Patron Saint of Heartbroken Women.   Santa Rita is portrayed in her traditional black habit and carrying a skull, the symbol of penance.    The spot of blood on her forehead, also a traditional portrayal, is believed to be the mark of the thorn…a symbol she carried following a prayer to Jesus.

This multi-color image is painted directly on metal.  The metal is in decent shape with one small crease/tear in the metal towards the bottom third of the retablo.  This is quite normal for older retablos but please see pictures.

A collector’s piece, this retablo is ready to hang.

Measures 13.5” in height, 9” in width.
