Painted Mexican Tin Ornament of a Grasshopper

What life lesson was learned today, grasshopper?

Tin turned into pieces of art is a Mexican (and Spanish Colonial) craft tradition but these tin ornaments are art for your tree.  We think they're also pretty special to hang in a window, as a package adornment, tucked into a greeting card or - why not?! - ideal for gracing the wall of your office cubicle all year long!

We think this grasshopper is pretty charming - in part because he's not in our garden munching on our tomato plants - but mostly because he's colorful, beautifully detailed and very Zen for a grasshopper.  We've not seen him hop once!
