An 8” tall carved wooden batea hand-painted with an image of St. Francis of Assisi, Patron Saint of Animals.  Ready to hang.

Bateas are hand-carved wooden “trough” bowls typically used throughout Mexico, South and Central America to knead dough and mix masa for tortillas.

This small version of a batea has been transformed with hand-painted spiritual art featuring St. Francis.

It measures roughly 8 inches in height, 3.5 inches in width.  Ready to hang, primary colors are turquoise, black, brown and gold.
