Hand-Carved Soapstone Pelican, Small

It's hard to look at a happy pelican and not think of warm breezes and ocean shores...

Our little pelicans are hand-carved from soapstone and their feathers, feet and exaggerated beaks are beautifully detailed.  They stand 1 3/8" tall and 1 1/8" wide and are perfectly sized for including in a mixed-medium project, Retablo or to use as a totem or desk-top reminder that long hours and deadlines can result in vacation time with a beach involved. 

Soapstone is a natural mineral that varies wonderfully in color from every shade of cream and brown imaginable to shades of rust, umber, red and even gray.  Please let us choose a special one just for you.
