Carved Heishi-Like Shell Beads, Natural Color, 6mm 27490

For centuries indigenous people all over the globe have used shells – and drilled shells – as trade and for ornamentation.  Shell “disks” that were thin, polished and drilled for stringing are often referred to as heishi.

Our heishi-like shell beads or spacers are on a 15” strand of approximately 180 pieces each.  Drilled, 1 mm holes.  A stunning way to add organic color and look to a jewelry or art design of your own making.

Each bead approximately 6mm in size.
