An 8” tall hand-painted Talavera wall hanging of Kokopelli, the mythical flute player believed by some Native cultures to be a fertility symbol.

Throughout the American Southwest, the mythical creature Kokopelli – typically depicted as a hunchback figure playing a flute – is believed to be a symbol of ample harvest, prosperity and fertility.

Our Kokopelli is hand-crafted from Talavera ceramic and hand-painted in the traditional Talavera “fiesta” colors of cobalt blue, turquoise, red, yellow, orange, brown and green.

Glazed ceramic, it can be hung indoors or out with the open center of the figure the balancing point for hanging onto a nail.  Each measures 8” in height, 4” in width.

Please Note:  Each of our Kokopelli figures is hand-painted and completely unique and one-of-a-kind.  While the figure and size will be consistent, the patterns and colors will be unique to your item.  Please let us pick out a very special one just for you.
