A large 11 1/2” tall carved wooden batea hand-painted with an image of San Pasqual, Patron Saint of Cooks and Kitchens.

Bateas are hand-carved wooden “trough” bowls typically used throughout Mexico, South and Central America to knead dough and mix masa for tortillas. 

This large version of a batea has been transformed with hand-painted spiritual art featuring San Pasqual, Patron Saint of Cooks and Kitchens.

It measures roughly 11 1/2 inches in height, 5 1/4 inches in width.  Ready to hang, primary colors are navy blue, yellow, pumpkin, brown, green and gold.

Hand-crafted in Mexico.
